Automobiles

Today I was at a car auction. Not just regular cars, but vintage awesome cars.
Todays cars are boring.
It seems as all schooling from the past century has been rejected.
I love the american cars in all their brutalness and I love european cars with their grace. I love white trash trucks, I love sports cars, I love muscle cars and I love aerodynamic futuristic cars.
In fact I digg every car design from the 30's up untill the 80's where things went terribly wrong. It peaked in the 60's where mileage was of no consideration but car designers were beginning to make streamlined designs.

Jaguar E-Type. What a beauty.

Uhm, Citröen something. One of the few 80's exceptions. I love how the headlights are encapsulated in transparent plastic that continues the shape of the bonnet. Also notice the beautiful rocket shape. Wack.Citröen Ds. Later models had a prettier design with directional headlights. This car is pretty stunning and deserves a whole contribution for itself. In the meantime check Wiki
Whoah watch out. Ford F-100
American truck. Forgot the make but dearly love the design.

beautiful grille

Rolls Royce. This car reeks WWII I am partial to the "box shape" and no nonsense of these V8 monsters. It's almost bombastic with the chrome and sparkling paint. I have cast my love upon the Chevrolet Camaro (1969 model), but this car resembles it pretty well.

You've probably already found out that I know nothing about cars. I definitely love car design though. Of course I support greener cars and that the CO2 emissions need to be lowered, that said, I support the implementing of green ideas.
Like the Tesla Roadster for example.
More posts on cars to come.
